In this month’s edition of the Boundless Binge, we recommend some of the finest, darkest, most honest comedies we’ve seen in the recent past, so you don’t have to spend two hours every night just browsing and figuring out what to watch.

I May Destroy You

One Line Summary: After being sexually assaulted in a nightclub, Arabella’s life changes irreversibly and she is forced to reassess everything, including her career, friends and family.

Genre: Drama, Dark Comedy

It is essential viewing which feels easy to watch but raises the kind of questions that leave you thinking long after the episode is over. It affirms the voice of Coel as one of the most exciting writers and creators of the new generation, and if you haven’t seen it yet, do it now!

Where to Watch: HBO/ Hotstar in India

Barry

One Line Summary: Barry, a professional hitman, discovers the joy of acting while he is looking for a target. Surprisingly, he loves it so much that he is ready to leave his old life behind.

Genre: Dark Comedy, Crime

If the premise of a hitman in Los Angeles deciding to take up acting classes because he is enamoured by the freedom and sense of expression they offer him is not crazy enough, you can add in Bill Hader’s comedic…
